Properties context menu item add-on for Firefox 3.6

For years I’ve used the “properties” option in the context menu of firefox to quickly check the alt and title attributes of various elements (especially images) and to grab the URL of images – amongst other useful things for someone working with web sites.

Firefox 3.6 saw the properties dialog and context-menu item removed. Probably rightly so; it’s a geek feature. The everyday internet user probably hasn’t even noticed that it’s gone; let along missed it.

So, for those of us who aren’t everyday internet users, a firefox add-on has been developed using pretty much exactly the original (removed) source code.
